10 on a Tuesday: 10 Things to Do When It's Too Hot to Go Outside

I don’t know about you, but when it’s too hot to go outside, I’m really lazy! It’s been in the 90s here the past couple of weeks, so today’s “10 on a Tuesday” is great! Now presenting… “10 Things to Do When It’s Too Hot to Go Outside”!

10 Things to Do When It’s Too Hot to Go Outside:

  1. Have an indoor picnic.
  2. Camp indoors. (Throw some sheets over the dining room table and “camp” with your kids)
  3. Take Barbie or GI Joe to the pool. (Fill up the tub and let your little one have a blast!)
  4. Read a good book.
  5. What would Martha do? Craft, of course!
  6. Work on a scrapbook.
  7. Take a nap.
  8. Give yourself a pedicure or manicure.
  9. Make “cool” treats (your own Crystal Light popsicles, frozen grapes or banana slices, etc.)
  10. Mattress slide (Take a small mattress…maybe a crib mattress would be good, and slide down the stairs. Now you know what we did during exams in college!)
Have fun!

Hmmmmmm, a mattress slide? I think I just might win mother-of-the-year if I let my kids do this. Yahoo! :-)

Your suggestions are so creative, and bring back good memories of the children using the tub as a dolly swimming pool.

Our living room often was tented with blankets . . .
